Whether you’re a workout girlie or just love to look the part as you’re strolling the aisles of Whole Foods, you know a cute athleisure look when you see it. The material has to be form fitting and buttery soft, and you need to feel like you just left the ultimate yoga class and are about to spend way too much on an overpriced green juice.
Now, I’m not necessarily advocating for this lifestyle, but I will say that when I have a few quality work out pieces, I actually do feel more more motivated to exercise! Below you’ve find a few high-quality essential pieces that I reach for weekly. My goal is to exercise more in the new year (novel idea, I know!) and these products are going to get me excited to do it.
I love a good puffer vest for the winter months. Especially for chilly walks, I need more than one layer, but I don’t want to wear a coat that will restrict me. A warm vest does the trick every time!

I love a fitted long sleeve for lower impact classes when I know I won’t be sweating too much. For yoga or pilates, I often reach for these tops because they don’t hang off my body and I can still see my movements while I work out. They’re also great to go under the aforementioned vest, and are nice to go from gym to groceries and still be comfortable.

Sports bras are one of those articles of clothing that can be controversial. I prefer a medium-impact top that doesn’t constrict too much. For my more chesty friends, you might want something more high-impact! These are a few of my go-to’s and I wear them both at home and at the gym. You can’t go wrong with this cult favorite!

Let’s be honest. We’d wear leggings even if we never had a gym membership, and that’s fine by me. I’ll never get tired of this classic black pair, and they’re comfortable to wear in a weight lifting class, or just lounging around the house.
