Spring Capsule Wardrobe: The Classic Pieces You Need Right Now

Capsule - Spring 2025 Collage

Happy (almost) Spring! Working on these capsules brings me so much joy, but I had an especially fun time working on this spring capsule wardrobe. As I was building it I noticed most of these items were already in my closet, and the brown/beige/olive color scheme came naturally. In addition, I also noticed that the new 2025 Pantone of the Year is “Mocha Mousse” which fit perfectly with what I thought the seasons trends would be!

If you’re not into creamy tans and browns, you can still incorporate these capsule pieces to your wardrobe this spring. Focus on classic pieces that fit your frame well, and try to mix and match staple pieces while accessorizing with simple items like a bucket bag or gold necklace.

I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating! You don’t need 10 pairs of pants, you need 2-3 that pair with several looks. Same goes for classic tanks and tees. Fit is everything! If you love the fit, you’ll reach for it again and again.

From top to bottom:

SLEEVELESS SWEATER (SIMILAR OPTIONS HERE AND HERE | olive crop tank | square neck bodysuit (similar) | WHITE TEE 1 AND 2, BROWN TEE
maxi dress 1 (on sale!) | maxi dress 2 | maxi dress 3
SHORT TRENCH COAT 1, 2, 3 | WRAP SWEATER | CROPPED SWEATER
straight denim 1, 2, 3 | olive SAILOR trousers 1, 2 | cropped white denim
bucket bag (similar) | olive mini bucket bag 1, 2, 3 | BROWN SHOULDER BAG (similar)
SNEAKER (similar) | SUEDE SANDAL | RUBBER SANDAL | BLOCK SANDAL

We went from the skinny jean phase, to the mom jean phase, all the way to the straight leg jean and I couldn’t be more in love with this pair. I thought you’d have to pry my cropped Levi’s out of my cold dead hands, but this denim is what convinced me that anyone can wear the straight leg style.

I’ve also been wearing these a bunch over on Instagram, so if you need additional inspiration, hop on over.

If I’m being honest, I actually bought these trousers last fall, but I haven’t been able to stop wearing them since! I’ve traded in my baggy sweaters and coatigans for cropped crewneck tanks and seamless bodysuits, and these olive sailor pants will be with me all Spring.

I couldn’t abandon my cropped denim roots altogether! If there’s one pair you’ll wear for the rest of your life, it’s these cropped jeans. Not only do they come in several different washes, but once you find a fit that works, you can wear it in any wash for any season.

You’ll notice the blue wash makes an appearance in almost all of my other capsules! A classic never goes out of style.

I have been going on and on about this beige bodycon dress on Instagram and it’s no secret why! It’s flattering on every bodytype (even those mamas who will have a spring baby bump!) and the high neck allows you to wear a regular bra.

This particular one is on sale, and I style it a few ways here.
