We recently went to Hilton Head Island for the first time and I have never felt so confident with my packing list for a trip! I always try to pack a lot of mix and match pieces, (you know how I feel about a good capsule) but this time especially, I knew I wanted to keep things simple.

These classic pieces were perfect for breezy walks by the water, fun bike rides to the beach, early dinners before the sunset, and on and on. The best part about this coastal capsule wardrobe? You likely already have most of these pieces in your closet for summer! Read below and scour your wardrobe because trust me, this is the simplest capsule you’ll ever create.

Tops

All of my tops were surprisingly versatile for a coastal climate. Light linen button downs worked perfect at the beach or even just as an extra layer at dinner.

Tanks

The navy sweater tank was a big hit and I paired it with white linen pants for a fun nautical theme.

Bottoms

I only wore the jeans on the first travel day, but all of the other bottoms had multiple wears during our week in Hilton Head.

Dresses

These dresses were perfect for early dinners and sunset beach walks! They were also neutral enough that I could mix and match sweaters and jackets if I needed to. I style the beige maxi a few different ways here!

Outerwear

It rained the first few days of our trip so the anorak surprisingly got a lot of wear. It’s one of my favorite “last minute items” to throw in my suitcase because it folds into its own pocket and is a lifesaver for rainy weather!

Accessories

My Ralph Lauren baseball cap received the most wear (not surprising) and I was glad to have it since most of our activities were outdoors!
