TheClosetDime – Moving Forward

It’s finally happening! My new dream site has finally come together and I’m so excited to share it with all of you! Even though I’m in a web design program, I am lightyears away from knowing what I’m doing and absolutely everything has been a huge learning experience.

I fell in love with blogging almost three years ago and have been slowly publishing ever since (even if I was too scared to publish it for almost a year of that time). All along the way, this brand new site before you was my goal. Moving forward, I knew I wanted something that perfectly described my vision, but I started small and used a Blogspot template until I truly felt ready to make the transition. It took several minds to make this idea possible and I really started the planning stages for a new site last summer (I’m a slow mover).

Take a look at the new dimepiece!!!

This site wouldn’t have been possible without my amazing sisters, (thanks for keeping a secret for so long!) my friends and the insanely talented designer, Lindsay Humes. The Chicago based genius behind White Oak Creative is truly is the only reason this site is even available today! Like I said before, my design skills are not what I want them to be but I’ve had this vision for a couple of years! Lindsay and I had several talks where I gave her months of jumbled work and ideas and she came up with EXACTLY what I wanted in a matter of weeks! I couldn’t imagine my site any other way and thank goodness for her creative direction along the way because I really had no idea what I was doing and just thought I could be bossy and it would all work out. 1. That’s was a terrible mentality to have. 2. She practically read my mind and came up with material that was an even better version of what I thought I needed and wanted. Thanks for stickin’ with me, Linds!

I would LOVE to hear what you guys think of the new site and I’m excited to share even more of my passion through the new layout. I’m still me, just a little more polished and a lot more true to my original vision!

There’s more information on my About page and you guys are welcome to ask me questions at any time! My creative process will always be ongoing, but for now, follow the new site for all things style.

My social media hasn’t changed much, and you  can still follow my Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr and Polyvore for all things ClosetDime. You can also now follow me on Bloglovin for even more news and posts!

Let’s get blogging!
