Summer Wedding

Last week, I went to a wedding for one of my oldest and dearest friends. The wedding was a smashing success and my friend, Aubry, looked so incredibly beautiful! The summer wedding allowed for leggy dresses and lots of outdoor photos so I wasn’t one to complain about the heat.

Because it was a short trip, and it took a couple of planes to get there, I didn’t want to pack too much. Luckily it was a summer wedding so packing light was no big deal. I only used a carryon for the plane and my wedding attire was simple and didn’t require a lot of fuss. I even chose a dress with pockets since the clutch I ordered wasn’t going to get to me on time (I’m just about over it).

The dress featured here is from Anthropologie and is a staple in my closet. The 60’s cut is still relevant today and no matter what time of year (excluding a snow storm, of course) I can slip on this dress and feel totally confident!

It was the perfect weekend full of hilarious photo booth selfies and embarrassing stories from our childhood. I wouldn’t have missed my friend walking down the aisle for anything and even though I wore the dress of my dreams, Aubry married the man of her dreams so I think she beat me on that one.  😉

Cheers to the happy couple!
