Neutral Tones for Valentine’s Day

I’m not a big celebrator of Valentine’s Day. I don’t even have more than a couple red pieces in my closet. I did, however, realize that almost my entire wardrobe consists of black, denim, and neutral tones like the outfit I’m wearing today.

If you’re not big on heart-shaped prints or dresses, try these neutral tones for Valentine’s Day this year!

You can never go wrong with a camel colored coat or cardigan. I have a few of these that I keep in the rotation and they are perfect for every season. I even throw them on if I need to look extra polished on a Zoom call!

Base Layer

I love a good base layer. I get a few of these every season in the form of t-shirts, turtle necks, pullovers, etc. and they never disappoint. You can wear them with anything! In the winter I swap over to fleece base layers, and in the summer, I reach for cotton tees.

You can still pick a flirty pair of denim that is appropriate for an evening dinner. Dress it up with a heel or fun belt to add some pizzazz! This is my favorite pair of Levi’s to date. I shared them from a few different websites, because they tend to go on sale frequently. Click through to find the retailer that currently has the best deal!

I try not to keep to many purses around. A few is all you need for your entire wardrobe, so keep it simple. I love this quilted flap purse because it comes in several colors, and can be work as a crossbody or should bag.

Okay, okay. These were more practical on the day I took the photo, but if it’s cold where you are, add a cute ankle boot instead! The Marc Fisher Oshay booties are some of my favorite and they come in 4 styles. The lighter suede is great for winter, but perfect for spring.
