Use Code: RACHELS20
Below are the DIME Beauty products currently on my shelf. While I haven’t tried every single beauty and skincare product from DIME Beauty, I’ve come pretty close. I fancy myself quite the product junkie and love trying multiple items from one company! This gives me a feel for the quality and substance of the brand as a whole.
At the time this post was written, these were most of the products carried on their website. They’ve since come out with several other products, so I also wrote Part 2 to this post later on!
Hope this helps you decide which products might be right to incorporate into your skincare routine!
I do my best to go chronologically by order of use in morning or night. Enjoy!
Use Code: RACHELS20
I start my mornings with the jelly cleanser. It’s gentle on my skin and washes away any skincare left on my skin from the night before. I have fairly oily skin, and especially when adding something like a vitamin c the night before, I need a quality cleanser to really clean my skin from the toxins that my body is expelling throughout the night.
Since the toner is rather gentle, I do like to follow up with a toner as step 2 of my morning routine. It’s basically an extra layer of cleaning for my skin, and helps me feel like I am starting with a blank canvas for my other beauty products to work. I use little cotton rounds and gently wipe from the center of my face out to the corners. I also tone my neck and décolletage! Don’t forget those areas when applying all of these products.
Step 3 is serum. I use the TBT anti-aging serum either in the morning or the night, under my moisturizer. This serum has a few helpful ingredients such as Mandelic Acid (a chemical exfoliant), Niacinamide (skin firming) and Grapeseed Oil (helps to prevent sun damage). Altogether, these, plus a few other ingredients, create a buffet of quality essentials to keep your skin looking plump and youthful.
Application: I haven’t used the TBT Serum and the Hyper Glow Serum at the same time yet. I need to do more research to see if they two products could or should be combined. For now, I use one in the morning and one at night. I alternate between which I use in the morning or night depending on what else I’m applying.
If there’s one product I’d recommend to any face from age 18-80, it’s vitamin c serum. One of the best anti-aging ingredients on your vanity, vitamin c serum can give you a smooth, even, glowing complexion. The Hyper Glow Serum contains 20% L-Ascorbic Acid, and Fefulic Acid. Both antioxidants, they work in tandem to reduce hyperpigmentation and help with premature aging.
Application: Like I mentioned above, I don’t combine these two serums. If I’m having an especially dry day, I’ll use the Hyper Glow Serum, and if I’m feeling particularly oily, I may reach for the TBT serum.
This product just launched, and I’m obsessed! The bottle contains Blue Tansy Oil, Black Cumin Seed Oil, and Rose Hip Seed Oil. It’s formulated to combat blemishes by providing anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and hydrational benefits.
I’m still getting the hang of where it goes in my skincare layering, but I’ve been putting it as my last step. Per the instructions on the bottle, it goes over your moisturizer. you can press it into your skin with your palms or finger tips, but I’ve been using it as a spot treatment.
I think the biggest benefit is that it fights against bacteria, but I still use a salicylic acid daily in my routine. The oil is great, but I need more medication than that to keep up with my pesky teenager-acting skin!
Application: Apply over moisturizer. Use as last step of nighttime routine.
This might be the holy grail of products if you have a lot of deep set acne! This product is an adhesive sticker that you put over blemishes, and then sleep overnight while the medicated patch work its magic. The Hydrocolloid is used to absorb excess fluids (all of that gross bacteria from a pimple) while not letting it spread all over your face and pillowcase while you sleep. Another key ingredient is Salicylic Acid which helps unclogs pores, acts as an anti-inflammatory.
I’ve never ben consistent with eye creams and serums, but I’m hoping adding this to my routine will make a difference! Like with most of the products, it’s important to keep using them in a routine way, so you can see whether they are making an impact on your skin.
Application: I use this eye cream as the last step of my nighttime routine, and dab a little under each eye, and the corners of my eye, in the “crows feet” area.
This serum is a holy grail product for sure! I’ve been using the eyelash boost serum for about a month, and it has definitely made a difference already. I’ve read testimonials that say you really see a big change by month 2-3, so I’m excited to watcth the progress! I took a photo before I started, so I’ll be keeping you guys posted over on Instagram.
Application: I used this every evening for the first couple of weeks and then realized why not in the morning as well? I keep it by my bed in a little jar with my chapstick and I’m way less likely to forget about it that way.
I have used this mascara the least of all the products so far. I’m still a big fan of false eyelashes, so while I am using the serum, I still love to apply falsies on big makeup days. What I can say is that for the times that I have skipped the falsies and reached for this mascara, it hasn’t left my lashes clumpy or sticky in the slightest! I’m hoping to use it more when there’s even more noticeable growth, but for now, I’m only it once a week or so.
Application: Since the product isn’t clumpy, I’d recommend applying 2-3 coats for maximum va va voom.
This matte liquid lipstick is a GORGEOUS lip shade! I love the color Liam because it’s the perfect pinky coral color for spring and summer. The matte formula isn’t nearly as drying as many other matte liquid lipsticks on the market, but I still like to apply a lip balm underneath for maximum moisture.
This scent really is the epitome of a beachy perfume. It has a coconut musk and notes of peony, sandalwood, vanilla and a few other elements.
It’s light enough to spray in your room or on your skin, but my favorite way to apply it is to spritz the space in front of me 2-3 times and walk into the scent. It’s perfect for a beachy vibe that’s not too overpowering, but is still more potent than a body spray.
Well, there you have it! More than half a dozen DIME Beauty products currently on my shelf! This means more than half a dozen reasons why you should give the brand a shot. 🙂
If there’s one thing missing in the DIME Beauty lineup, it’s definitely SPF. and maybe a cleanser with salicylic acid. Like with most brands, they launch items every season or so. I bet they’re working hard to get new products on their site. Don’t be surprised if they come out with an SPF shortly! I can promise that I’ll be giving you a full report.
