I was never one of the “cool kids” in school.

Don’t get me wrong, I had friends, but I was really involved in sports which took up most of my time, and my parents were fairly strict. I always had the earliest curfew, and I didn’t have as much freedom to be out with everyone else.

My style was pretty simple back then. I wore what I liked, but it was mainly a similar version of what everyone else was wearing (Hollister pants and whatever graphic tee seemed the most sassy¬†at the time). If I had to do it all over, I would have dressed exactly like this. I channeled my inner Aria Montgomery and thought this would have been the greatest “first day look” ever.

It mixes a couple different styles, and is edgy but girly, without trying too terribly hard. The hair is relaxed but with my personal favorite, a dinosaur braid. I’m not kidding, this really is my favorite braid!

I don’t much miss my high school days, no offense to anyone who enjoyed braces and homeroom, but I will miss those first few weeks where everyone wore new clothes and looked their best for the cute boy with the bottom locker.
