I love this Valentine’s Day post because it shows how you can dress up or down for the special day of heart-shaped tummy aches. My previous post talked about keeping it casual and spending time with friends. This post is all about how to dress for the perfect date night. I don’t have a lot of red in my closet, and I typically stick to dark colors. I thought an LBD would be perfect for a Valentine’s date because it’s classy, and can be worn several ways depending on the weather. I originally wore a pair of black tights with this outfit, but decided against it for the final look. It has been rather chilly, however, so I layered the dress with my favorite maroon coat, which you guys are probably sick of seeing all the time. 🙂
Make up: You’d think a bold red or pink lip would be a no-brainer for a day that’s filled with rosey hues, but I decided against it. Yesterday, I wore a dark lip to match my wine colored pants, but I wanted to stray away from too much lipstick in this post. After all, your special someone doesn’t want red lipstick all over their face at the end of the night, right? I find myself going with more classic looks when I am around guys, and wait to try my bolder looks with my girlfriends, who will appreciate my risk taking. Because of this, I wore simple jewelry, (a faux pair of Kendra Scott earrings) and black and cream pumps.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Love you all!
