Mario Badescu Skin Care is one of the best brands I’ve managed to get my hands on for all over care of my face, neck, chest and back. They use strong but simple ingredients to give your skin what it needs. The brand also uses categories on their bottles to help you understand what works best for your skin!
Below I’ve gathered what I feel are the best products they carry. They all target different skin problems, but yield the same bright and beautiful results.

Super Collagen Mask – C,D,S – $18
The Super Collagen Mask is one of the best masks I have ever tried. It’s a thin mask that starts out with a cake batter consistency, and hardens as it dries onto your skin. The smell is fresh with a hint of cucumber and is ideal for combination, dry and sensitive skin.
Why do I love it? I’ve noticed my skin looking more dull over the last 3-4 years. Swimming outdoors in Florida, late nights at the library in college, and getting little sleep along the way put my skin to the test. As you age, your skin begins to thin out, and this mask helps to plumb and lift skins natural elasticity. It offers a great deal of hydration, and leaves my skin feeling smooth and firm.
Did I mention it currently holds a 4.9 star customer rating? Can’t argue with those numbers!
Whitening Mask – ALL – $24
Along with my skin looking tired, it also has sun spots and discoloration from living in Florida for 10 years. The Whitening Mask focuses on discoloration and dehydration, while providing the same consistency and results as the Super Collagen Mask. It dries a little harder, and doesn’t leave my skin feeling as plump, but does give me the fresh skin I’m looking for.
Why do I love it? My skin tone is often very uneven and the Vitamin E helps brighten what feels like dull skin. The mask rejuvenates my tired looking complexion and tightens my pours. It’s not technically a blackhead remover, but it even helps to remove some of those impurities. I love a multi-functional product!
Glycolic Foaming Cleanser – ALL – $16
If you’ve never tried glycolic products before, this is where you should start. The ultimate Glycolic Foaming Cleanser, this product is what got me obsessed with the entire brand. It’s a seemingly simple product that lets the ingredients do their magic to leave your skin feeling smooth and brand new.
Why do I love it? It’s hard to explain the glycolic properties without trying it for yourself, but I will do my best. Glycolic acid works to works to remove dullness and hyperpigmentation. It “sluffs” off the top layer of skin that carries the most bacteria (it is NOT a peel) and reveals your brighter, newer skin cells underneath. It remove dirt, oil and other impurities, and helps to remove makeup and grime from the day.
If you’re going to try ANY of these products, try this one first. It’s offered in a travel size, so there’s no excuse not to test it out. Obsessed with glycolic acid? There are 6-8 other glycolic products in the Mario Badescu Skin Care line to try!
Cleansing Milk with Carnation & Rice Oil – D,S – $12
I’ll be honest and say that my sister uses the Cleansing Milk more than I do. She buys it so I’ve never felt the need to get my own bottle. I use so many other products that I don’t ever use them all up but I do love how soft my skin feels after using this cleanser. The Vitamin E properties still make my skin feel smooth and free of impurities, and it’s perfect for times when my skin is really sensitive.
Why do I love it? The product suggests that it’s a gentle way to remove makeup, but I typically use it when I haven’t worn makeup that day. I like cleansers as a reward for already being gentle on my skin. The times when I have worn a lot of makeup are the times when I need stronger ingredients to take the day off.
Drying Lotion – ALL – $17
I tried every acne medication growing up, and what worked best for me were the salicylic acid-based spot treatments. Now that my teen years are behind me, there is only one treatment that I still keep in my cabinet and it’s the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion.
Why do I love it? You couldn’t always find salicylic acid in your medication growing up, but now you can literally buy it as a single ingredient! What I like about this product is that it contains calamine (the pink lotion you apply on your poison ivy) which helps with my skin sensitivity and isn’t as harsh but works just as hard as other salicylic acid treatments.
How to use: You’ll notice the treatment separates from the liquid in the bottle. It’s supposed to, so DO NOT SHAKE THE BOTTLE. Before bed (after cleansing and toning), dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Dab directly on the whitehead; do not rub in. Let dry and rinse off in the morning. Do NOT use on broken skin. Do not apply to eye area. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water. Read more “how-to’s” on their page here.
I can be pretty convincing when I want to be! When one of my sisters asked for some skincare recommendations, I jumped at the chance to tell her about my Mario Badescu favorites. Their website is so easy to use. Once she told me what her skin problems were, I could follow their skincare chart and find the best products for her to try.
While Sephora doesn’t carry the brand, Ulta Beauty has several of their products online and in store, and they also carry most of the Mario Badescu gift sets! If you’re completely new to the brand and aren’t sure where to start, I’d recommend getting a kit. The kits are categorized based on your skins needs and are small enough to travel with.
I use several other brands on my skin, but I have always been impressed with the products that Mario Badescu continues to provide to customers. I can’t wait to try some other cult favorites! Comment below if you’ve tried any other MB products that you think I should know about.
