I have worn this floral jumpsuit twice now. Once, for Mother’s Day, and once for a bachelorette weekend. Two very different events, and yet, i still felt completely in my fashion element each time. That is what I love about a versatile piece of fabric. Not only do I love the way I feel in this outfit, I don’t have to worry about if it is appropriate or not for multiple wears.
The floral pattern can be dressed up or down for any occasion. I knew Mother’s Day would focus on flowers and spring time, so I fit right in with the pretty floral pattern. Since the backdrop of the dress is black, I also knew that it would be dressed up enough for a night out with the girls. Awesome pattern? Check!
Even it a casual environment, it’s not always appropriate to show leg. I had Sunday church before Mother’s Day lunch, and I wasn’t about to strut my stems all over town. I also knew that being out and about with my friends for a party would be tough in heels, and I can sneakily wear flats with the jumpsuit if need be. Helpful style? Check!
I’m not a big fan of cardigans, because I often feel like an Old Navy ad. Wearing a shawl is my compromise between worrying about being cold, and worrying that I look like a kindergarten mom. Any time I don’t think it’s appropriate to show my shoulders, I throw on the shawl and immediately forget about it. Not needing the extra layer? It’s light enough to toss in my purse without making the bag bulky. Versatile look? DOUBLE CHECK!
Bottom line, I will keep pieces like this in mind in the future. When I’m scouring the stores for something that I can wear again and again, I’m going to ask myself: does it measure up to the perfect jumpsuit?
