The 4 Makeup Palettes You Need This Holiday Season

I can’t believe it’s already time for holiday parties again! It seems like only a few months ago I was trying to figure out my looks for Christmas and New Years. I may need to actually use my calendar next year…

Anyway, I’ve had more and more babes ask about beauty lately and I don’t blame them! It seems like everywhere I turn there is a new beauty line entering the scene and it’s hard to know what works unless we try a few out.

To save you time and pennies, I’ve compiled some of my favorite makeup palettes. Still not sure what you’d like best after reading? Message me on Instagram and I’ll help you out! There’s something for everyone.

Top Right: Lorac // Bottom Right: Flawless by Friday // Bottom Left: Woosh Beauty // Top Left: Sephora Collection

LORAC: LA Palette in Malibu

I decided to start with the queen of palettes! This baby has everything, is affordable AND can be used for eyes and cheeks, which not all palettes can do. The LA palette also comes in a few more shades, and I don’t think they’re going anywhere any time soon. I bought this palette last year when it was on sale and they brought the same sale back again this year. If  you couldn’t tell, I LOVE bronzer, so the Malibu shade is perfect for me. For a more feminine look they have Venice Beach and for a subtle glow they carry the shade Santa Monica. As you can see in the photo, it’s the smaller of the 3 full face palettes which makes it great for traveling, or for light touchups at work.

FLAWLESS BY FRIDAY: Faceology Palette in Natural Knockout

FBF is a brand that caught my eye a few months ago. I’m really impressed with the pigment of their Natural Knockout palette, and they also carry palettes for a subtle glow and classic look, and a bolder look as well. Still need more in your life? They also carry great eye palettes! What I like most about this particular palette is the shades they carry. I rarely find a palette where I’d use every single color (I can’t even say that about the LORAC palette) and each color complements the rest.

WOOSH BEAUTY: Fold Out Face in No. 2

Before you do anything, you have to click and see the full palette! Almost like a booklet for your face, the Woosh Beauty palette quite literally has everything you’d need to get a full face of makeup. On the other side of the palette are shadows, concealers and eyeliner shades! It also comes with a really neat 3 piece brush set that has 4 different uses for the brush. To be honest, I’m pretty sure I bought this palette just for the 4-in-1 brush! Another bonus is the price. When I got mine it was closer to $50 so they must be trying to cater to more people by dropping the retail price. The last piece of the puzzle is picking your shade. They have different colors of concealers and bronzers so you can choose an entire palette that’s right for you. Sounds like the holy grail of face palettes, right?!

SEPHORA COLLECTION:  MicroSmooth Baked Sculpting Contour Trio in Spirited

Okay, this one is unfortunately out of stock which is SUCH a bummer because it was only $11 when I bought it! I’m on my second compact, however, and I got it less than a month ago. This makes me think they might bring it back in stock! They DO still have it in another shade (Sublime), and it actually looks a bit more natural so I would definitely try it. It’s full price, but the swatches are gorgeous and can be worn more often. I happen to like the “orangey” shade in the Spirited compact, but I know most probably wouldn’t agree. This trio is small but mighty. When I want a face of makeup but have to travel light, I take this with me. It’s been my only palette for the last several Instagram posts and it’s worked great! I even brought it to Chicago with me a few weeks ago when I knew I was working with a small suitcase. If you have the right brushes, you can EASILY contour and blend with this trio. The only con is that it doesn’t come with a mirror, but since it’s so small, you have space in your purse to store one. They also make for really beautiful eyeshadows and using the same shades on your face and eyelids help pull the entire look together.

Well, that about wraps it up! If you babes have any questions at all about holiday looks, comment below and I’ll be happy to answer them!

Happy Holidays, beauties!
