Rules were made to be broken, and the whole “no white after Labor Day” thing, just doesn’t work for me.
This season will be all about blending fall whites and neutrals together, to make one cozy look! I’ve already started shooting outfits for fall (yes, it was really hot trying to wear a scarf in September) but it’s been so much fun! I’ve already pulled out a bunch of ankle booties, cable-knit scarves and puffer vests. All that’s missing is a cold front!
Until then, I’m gradually transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall. It has basically been trading in my denim shorts for skinny jeans, and keeping the short sleeve tops until it gets chilly outside. Maybe it has to do with my hair being lighter, but I’m adding more white into my wardrobe. I’ve never been a big proponent of a color that stains so easily, but I’m slowly coming around.
To keep my summer clothes current, I’ve been adding more fall elements to the mix, while still keeping it light. It’s not cold enough to add a hat or scarf. Because of that, I’m sticking to chunky jewelry and sunglasses until further notice. As soon as a cold front comes in, you guys will be the first to know! I will immediately lose the tank tops and be in fall whites like these new favorites!
