** This post is in no way sponsored, I just really wanted to talk about these shoes. 😉 **
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my many years of proms, graduations and weddings, it’s that you need good shoes. For many gals and guys, shoes can be a religion. That’s why when they betray you by giving you blisters, it can be an emotional experience. I was in a wedding last weekend and I thought my new bridesmaid shoes might give me grief. Like any shoe connoisseur, I decided to break them in before the big day, and man, did it pay off!
Madden Girl rarely disappoints in the shoe department (if i manage to get the right size), and these babies were a hit. I’m serious! Even the makeup artist bashfully walked over to me asking to take a photo of them (talk about a high compliment!).
What’s the big deal?
Now, I know what you’re thinking: Would wearing the shoes once really give me numerous feet problems? What’s the big deal? If you’re asking this, you’ve obviously never seen me get down on the dance floor. I learned all of my moves from Ross and Monica’s “routine” and it’s anything but pretty. I have a blast when I’m on the dance floor, especially when anything Bruno Mars comes on. Do I like his music? Not really. But there’s something about his beats that make my arms flail around like they’re only half attached to my body.
I would have been heartbroken if my shoes were so uncomfortable all night that it caused me to miss out on the dancing. Taking a day to stretch them out and let my feet form to them was definitely the way to go. I highly recommend breaking in new shoes before a big event.
Mom, if you’re reading this, thanks for making me get them. 😉
